# why pixel puffs?

![](/files/XVvf7DIQGomy0AAz9k2D)

The solpuffs supply caps at 49. There \[was] one left.

What this small supply did was create the most amazing, tight knit community of artists, collectors, degens and crypto twitter personalities

but it also created 2 issues:

No one wants to paper hand their puff.

And there are a lot of deserving people that were a little too late or a little too priced out.

THE PIXEL PUFF ALPHA

Each puff is getting a 1/1 custom pixel version of their puff. I’ve pooled those traits together to form a generative collection we'll know as the pixel puffs.

100% of the traits you'll see in the pixel puffs are based off the original solpuff artwork.

The solpuffs were given first access to WL spots for the pixel puffs and their 1/1s will rank the top #1-49 of the entire collection.

Rarity will be based on how based the traits are after that. and I would get excited because THEY'RE WILD

At 777 supply and 0.17 mint my hope is that the puffs can have some fun trading a their piece of the solpuffs project

and to add a healthy entry point for solpuff supporters. For those that have been there from the start: I see you and I hear you. This is also for you.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://puffs.gitbook.io/puffs/lore/why-pixel-puffs.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
